Champion Coach was founded in 1998, in the dynamic Southeastern market of Greenville, South Carolina. Our fleet of distinctive motorcoaches carries professional sports franchises, elite college teams, corporate, school, church and family groups wherever they need to go. At Champion Coach, we never stop searching for innovative ways to serve our clients and travelers, provide opportunities for our dedicated team, and embrace change in our industry. The company that began in a house basement is recognized today as a leading ground transportation provider for collegiate and professional athletic teams and for its superior business operations, which it conducts based on five core values: serve God first, serve one another, give generously, act with integrity, and pursue excellence.

Our Story

It all began with a vision of providing superior transportation services to sports teams. Craig Dance and his wife, Hazel, soon turned the vision into reality and got the young business off the ground by purchasing four white motorcoaches in 1998. Top of the line motorcoaches and great service at a fair price became a guiding principle for Champion Coach.

As natural leaders, Craig and Hazel took this principle and made it the foundation of a new business. In starting Champion Coach, they saw the opportunity to raise the bar in sports travel. They wanted ordinary to be extraordinary, normal to be exceptional and regular service to be a truly unique experience in ground transportation.

With a handful of modern motorcoaches … determination and resolve, Champion Coach was born. Each bus was a gleaming white symbol of excellence. Each engagement was crucial. Each itinerary was an exercise in minute-by-minute planning and precision. Each site visit with coaches and staffs were cordial and genuine. Everything was measured; nothing was left to chance.

Today, even though our fleet is much larger, our motorcoaches are more technology advanced and our customer base has grown considerably, Champion Coach, in many ways, is still the same company it was back in 1998. We’re still driven to be “Motorcoach Excellence.”
