• Designated someone to be responsible for responding to SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) concerns and all employees know who the
designee is and how to contact them.
• Provided all employees with information about SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), how it spreads, and risk of exposure, training on
proper hand washing practices and other routine infection control precautions. access to soap, clean running water, and drying
materials or alcohol-based hand sanitizers containing at least 60% alcohol at their worksite.
• Conducted worksite assessments to identify SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) prevention strategies.
• When practical, provide products as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control, Environmental Protection Agency, and
other applicable government agencies so that surfaces commonly touched by passengers and staff can be cleaned periodically.

Enhanced Cleaning & Disinfecting Procedures
Color Coded Rag System
Champion Coach has implemented a color-coded cleaning and disinfecting rag system which is an industry standard across hotel, restaurant and other industries. This system ensures rags used to clean hazard areas such as floors, footrests and stairwells do not contaminate critical high traffic touch areas such as handrails, tray tables and arm rests.
Clean rags are used during each interior cleaning. Rags are not recycled across multiple interior cleanings. Used rags are placed in designated bins for washing with hot water, industrial detergent and disinfecting solution. Colors are never mixed during wash cycles to avoid contamination.
General Interior Cleaning
Prior to every departure, a deep clean is performed on the interior of each coach. Dust and debris are removed by vacuuming and supplemental sweeping. Once the cabin is free of dust and debris, our teams wipe down critical high traffic touch areas such as, but not limited to, handrails, overhead bin doors and handles, overhead reading light buttons and air vents, windows, passenger seats, seat belts, arm rests, tray tables, power outlets and driver’s area. Floors are then cleaned with a warm water and disinfectant solution.
Lavatory
The lavatory is cleaned and disinfected during every coach cleaning. Lavatory holding tank contents are disposed in an EPA certified waste treatment site. Every surface in the lavatory such as door handles, handrails, toilet seat and surrounding areas are wiped down with disposable one time use wipes and/or
paper products. Color coded rags and/or reusable rags are prohibited to reduce contamination of other surfaces throughout the cabin.
Electrostatic Fogging
Champion Coach utilizes handheld electrostatic foggers to provide the highest level of interior disinfecting if a positive case has been reported on board. All interior areas such as the lavatory, cabin, driver’s area and cargo areas below the cabin where luggage is stored is fogged prior to the next departure. Champion Coach utilizes a safe, high-grade EPA-registered disinfectant that is highly effective against many communicable diseases including coronaviruses.
Heating, Air Conditioning & Ventilation Systems
Heating and Air Conditioning systems are critical to the safety and comfort of our customers and operators. While Champion Coach has always changed, cleaned and serviced system components such as filters and ducts frequently, we have proactively increased the frequency of system services which includes filter changes. UV light disinfection systems are installed in select compatible equipment which eliminates 99% of microbial contaminants in the cabin. All other coaches are equipped with MERV rated filters.

In Route Cleaning
Our driver’s primary responsibility is the safety of passengers onboard. Each bus is equipped with a cleaning kit used for standard cleaning and disinfecting. The driver will wipe down critical high traffic touch points such as handrails with disinfectant as needed.

Champion Coach has a rigorous selection process for chemicals and disinfectants. These products have been tested by our team to ensure no negative effects on passengers, operators, interior materials and components. All products are professional EPA registered, industrial and/or hospital grade for the health and safety of our customers and operators. The use of household or unapproved products by leadership is strictly prohibited.
